Across Five Aprils - Collapse (Indianola)

So if you go and read other reviews of this album you will find that most of the reviews make this look like a bad release and most are written by people who don’t really care for this type of music. Well those people suck because this is a solid release. This is by far the best release by Across Five Aprils. The disc starts off with the fast, upbeat “Tallahassee is for Hookers” and doesn’t slow down. Compared to previous material, the heavy parts on Collapse are heavier, the catchy parts are more catchy, and the breakdowns are better. This is one of the many discs put out by Indianola Records this year and so far to me is the best. Everything you want to hear from A5A is on this disc, from the clean singing to the chants to the metal core chug breakdowns. They even have their slow song with “Miss Mistress” Standout tracks are “Sunnyland” and “Tallahassee is for Hookers”. Go pick up this disc, you will not be disappointed if your into any sort of mix of emo and core music. It can please just about everyone. Also check out their video for “Let’s Whisper”.
