Fightstar - Grand Unification (Trustkill)

Have you ever wondered what Trapt would sound like if they turned into an emocore band? Me neither, until I heard this album. Has Trustkill completely lost it? Fightstar come hailing from the land of Lostprophets and Bullet For My Valentine, bands that people enjoy. So where did these English boys go wrong? Picking up instruments, that’s where. This is one of the most uninspiring and unoriginal albums I have ever heard. The vocals are annoying, the guitars, bass, and drumming are all generic and could be played by anyone just picking up an instrument. I will break this down very easily for everyone. Take Trapt, Hinder, new Eighteen Visions, and the screaming of Hawthorne Heights, throw them in a blender, put it on high, pour it out and you get Fightstar. I had heard nothing but good things about this band, but apparently everyone I know has bad taste in music. So not only am I disappointed in this release, I am disappointed in Trustkill for unveiling this band to the general public. I don't recommend this album to anyone, but pick this up if you want to hear bad Mall Metal mixed with bad Emocore.
