 “The Truth” Winter Tour

Thursday, March 23 was “The Truth” tour featuring Haste the Day, Between the Buried and Me, Every Time I
Die and Bleeding Through. It was a great experience from the time we arrived until the time we left.

Upon arrival we had an interview with Mike Murphy, bassist for Haste the Day. He is one of the nicest guys I
have ever met. He was real down to earth and seemed to truly enjoy hanging out with us before the show.

Haste the Day were the first band to play and were quite good. I had never seen them before and I was amazed.
They have a great stage presence. Bodies all over the place, guitars flying, and a lot of screaming. This is also the
first tour for new lead singer Steven Keech. I really liked how he could hit both highs and lows. Overall it was a
great performance, including an even mix of songs from their two CD’s.

Between the Buried and we took the stage second. Being one of the most talented bands out there now, I
expected a crazy performance from them. That was not the case at all. I really enjoyed seeing them perform, but
the lead singer is the only one that moves around. They are incredibly technical, so I will cut them some slack.
Most of the songs came from their latest release, Alaska (Victory Records).

It has been almost two years since I have seen Every Time I Die play. They are great. One of the most intense,
fun, entertaining live bands out there. Every Time I Die know how to put on a show. There is not one moment
where someone is standing still on stage. It’s anarchy. They played a great set list with songs from their last
two CD’s. Closing their performance with Ebolarama from the CD Hot Damn!

Bleeding Through are the headliners for the tour and they did not disappoint. The one and only other time I have seen them was on last years Warped Tour, so it was a short set. I was great being able to see them play for an hour. Pure energy. With a new CD out, Bleeding Through are going to take over the world. My only complaint is that they only played one song from their album “Portrait of a Goddess”, which was “Rise”. Besides that it was an even amount of material from both “This is Love, This is Murderous” and “The Truth” Check them out on this years Ozzfest as well.
